As promised, we are offering updates on the mysterious respiratory illness affecting dogs. It is not as much of a concern as originally thought. Here is a recent article from the New York Times, and the takeaway quote is…

Here at Canine Corral and Happy Tails, your pet’s care and services are our top priority. With this new unknown illness targeting our furry family members, we understand how important health and safety is. We also know that there are other dog daycare and overnight services available to you, and we appreciate that you have chosen us to be your extended family. Here are some of the precautionary steps we take to keep such illnesses away from the facility:
*Ensuring that all dogs attending Canine Corral have verified proof of vaccinations.
*All our dog water dishes and food bowls are sanitized daily with bleach to kill viruses and bacteria.
*Dog bedding is bleached daily.
*The dogs no longer share community water bowls while out on the play floor area; however, all dogs always have access to their individual water dishes in their rest area/enclosure.
*Continuing to diligently sanitize and deep clean our facility on a regular basis.
*Sanitize floors multiple times a day, as well as all rest areas/enclosures.

Although we are closed for pick-ups and drop-offs on most major public holidays, we are here with the dogs.
Our holiday schedule is as follows:
Sunday, December 24th, 2023 (Christmas Eve): We are open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for check-in and check-out only. No daycare services are available.
Monday, December 25th, 2023 (Christmas Day): our office is closed; no check-in or check-out is available. No daycare services are available.
Tuesday, December 26th, 2023 (the day after Christmas): we are open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for check-in and check-out only. No daycare services are available.
Wednesday, December 27th, 2023: We are back to our regular schedule.
Sunday, December 31st, 2023 (New Year’s Eve): We are open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for check-in and check-out only. No daycare services are available.
Monday, January 1st, 2024 (New Year’s Day): our office is closed; no check-in or check-out is available. No daycare services are available.
Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024: We are back to our regular schedule.
