There is a mysterious dog illness circulating, and the symptoms are similar to canine (kennel) cough. It is currently being studied and there is no vaccine available.
Canine Corral has always preferred that dogs who attend dog parks do not to attend our center for daycare or boarding. As you can imagine, this is very hard for me to monitor and enforce. Considering the current situation, for your dog’s safety as well as the safety of all other dogs, I ask that you observe the honor system, and not bring your dog to Canine Corral if your dog frequents dog parks.
All dogs attending Canine Corral have verified proof of vaccinations. All our dog water dishes and food bowls are cleaned daily with bleach to kill viruses and bacteria. Our floors are sanitized multiple times a day as well as all enclosures. Dog bedding is bleached daily. All dogs always have access to their individual water dishes. If there is a dog showing signs of being ill, the dog is immediately isolated from other dogs and the owner is contacted immediately to pick up their dog. None of these criteria are met at dog parks.
If your dog is showing signs of being ill, please isolate your dog from other dogs and keep them at home. Also, confirm with your veterinarian your dog is current with all vaccinations, especially the ones that protect the respiratory system.
